Riyad Mansour, addressed a meeting of the UN Security Council on 1st March:

"In deliberate and flagrant breach of article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilians in Time of War, Israel continues to
collectively punish the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip by means of the sealing and closure of the territory and the obstruction of the movement of
persons and goods, including humanitarian access, as well as by means of military reprisals against persons and property and by acts of terror and intimidation. Such
actions are clearly prohibited by international law and are being committed by the occupying Power on a scale and scope amounting to war crimes. The humanitarian calamity in the Gaza Strip continues to deepen as a result, and the carnage and destruction are perpetuating a vicious and bloody cycle of violence that threatens to
completely destabilize the situation and derail the fragile peace process."

Since I had heard about this attack and the word "gunman" and not "suicide bomber/rocket attack" had been used, I was well aware that this was either an Israeli Arab *or* perhaps a Messianic who would perpetrate a crime in this fashion.

It is very sad that Old Jerusalem's people continue to sink, for whatever reason, to the status of Gaza or The West Bank. Preserve Old Jerusalem by teaching integrity and fundamental respect of all human life.

It's unfortunate for the desist to say the least that political turmoil has led to their death. At the same time Palestinians are mourning 100-130 deists as well, about 18 times that of what happened in Israeli.

Israel needs to realize diminishing peoples human rights to that of animals will create animalistic behaviors. People will eventually fight back it's unfortunate in this case which it is in all cases which this conflict the wrong people are taking the hit. This will continue is Israel continues to kill women and children as they did on a much grander scale.

It will be interesting who Israel decides to punish for this, seeing as no specific group was blamed, but seeing as what they have done in the past they will continue the fire by blindly killing innocent civilians.

I believe you are either a bigot or have no idea what you are talking about. Israel treats palestinians better than any surrounding arab country, giving them electricity, religious rights, food and water until they abuse their rights. Comparing the attacks is like medicine to poison. One side is deliberately attacking innocent civilians, and always has,and when a civilian is killed, there is rejoice and praise of the killers(poison). The the other is aiming at military targets, and sometimes with war there are small consequences. When a civilian is accidentally killed, the soldiers are condemned and often kicked out of the army. The death of civilians was not planned, it is a tragedy(medicine). No other country has faced a war like israel, and infact the united states has looked to model their tactics. Take the israeli attack on the refugee camp in Jenin in 2002. Israelis could've bombed all of their targets from the air, but instead, to spare the lives of civilians, AND RISKING THEIR OWN SOLDIERS LIVES, they went in by foot. The death total was 23 israeli soldiers, and 52 palestinians. Palestinian activists now call this a "massacre." Sounds far from it to me. Palestinians have been offered a state three times, but they will not stop killing until all of Israel is wiped out and the zionists have all been "pushed into the sea."
